This documentary presents facets of life among an Italian immigrant community in
Roseto, Pennsylvania. The Big Time is the annual festival honoring the town's
patron saint, Our Lady of Mt Carmel. The film centers on the 100th anniversary of
the festival, including the procession teenage princesses, the crowning of the new
queen and all the living queens of the past.
This is a special Monday night presentation as part of the Shepherd University
Appalachian Heritage Writer-in-Residence Program.
